DASYLab Description

 

DASYLab allows you to design individual measurement and analysis applications within minutes. Even complex applications can be solved fast and easy with DASYLab. And there is no need for external programming. Functional module symbols are placed on a worksheet and connected with wires. The modules represent inputs and outputs, operational modules, display instruments, and the signal flow.

 

 

Fast Data Acquisition

 

Fast Data Acquisition with DASYLab. High acquisition rates even under Windows are one of the most important properties of DASYLab. Acquisition rates up to incredible 1 MHz and a continuous online display with 250 kHz refresh rate are available. Fast and complete online-saving of measurement values is possible using the DASYLab disk streaming feature. The Disk streaming mechanism of DASYLab allows fast and continuous online saving of measured data to hard disk.

 

Y/t and X/Y diagrams

 

The modules Y/t and X/Y allow displaying fast signals. The Y/t module offers the option colored sonogram. It shows amplitude coded with different colors.

 

Chart Recorder

 

The chart recorder is used to display slow signals. All values are buffered in DASYLab so the scrollbars in the window allow to survey data of long periods of time. The zoom function allows displaying certain enlarged.

 

Status Display

 

Depending on the current value level (low/high or a single level), status messages of data channels is displayed. These can be text or bitmap images.

 

List Display

 

Measured data is presented in a clearly visible manner. Using scrollbars allows reviewing already recorded data.

 

Analog and Digital Instruments

 

Replaying of data is done as single, minimum/maximum, average, or effective value. While replaying it can be selected between panel meter or tachometer (round instrument) display. The digital instrument is able to show the values in binary, octal, decimal or hexadecimal representation.

 

Bar Meter Display

 

Several kinds like thermometer, triangle or segment displays are available for a multi channel representation. The display bars can be arranged horizontal and vertical. Freely definable color changes indicate reached or overridden limit values.

 

Professional Documentation and Process Visualization

 

The full version of the DASYLab package contains a layout software. This software is a professional tool which can be used to visualize processes and to design user interfaces. Its common uses are quality control systems, test reports and measurement reports.

Combined Trigger Continuous observation of data signals; design of complex signal observation systems
Sample Trigger Separation of signal sections with a preset number of measured values
Steepness Trigger Separation of samples triggered by the dynamic of the received signal
Relays A switched input (TTL level) observes up to 15 data inputs and outputs
